How it works

SkinScan 650 is a USB plug-in device compatible with every PC. The device consists of a light source and receptors that illuminate and receive light reflected from the skin. These light emissions are analyzed by propriety unique algorithms, detect the specific patterns of the screened lesion and based on the readings, enables the physicians to better diagnose the scanned lesion.

To begin the examination, the physician calibrates the device to the patient’s skin. This process is necessary for every patient as every person’s skin has his own unique spectral signature. This calibration takes about 30 seconds. Once this is done, a small, hand-held scanner is placed close to the suspicious lesion.

The system registers the readings and gives the physician critical information to help reach a firmer conclusion. Once the scan is completed the physician will take the results and give their diagnosis and recommendations.
